How to Obtain tourist visa for Japan

Planning to visit Japan here are some tips you might consider before lodging your visa application.

Lots of filipino dreaming to visit japan, One of the richest country in asia that offers different opportunity and unique culture, hence Millions of Tourist visit japan annually.Although due to the strict rules on how to obtain visa specially for filipino passport holder, It can be very tough for us Filipino to visit this wonderful country in ASIA.Japan isn’t that far from Philippine there is a lot of Airlines Carrier fly direct from Manila to Japan, and now lots of Budget Airline also fly to japan Specially Cebu Pacific and it wouldn’t cost you that much for airfare.

Ive heard many stories that its so tough for us to obtain visa, But good news due to good relationship between japan and Philippines they now relax the visa requirements and processing. To know more about the visa process below.



STEP 1: DOCUMENTS NEEDED:

1. Philippine passport and must valid 6 months with two pages blanks

2. A duly accomplished visa application form. Filled out all the Information and dont leave any blank Just put N/A if not applicable. Visa application, download it at Japanese Embassy website.

3.ID picture. 4.5cm x 4.5 cm. Paste it on the application form

4.Birth certificate from NSO. Must be latest and not more than a year

5.Marriage Certificate if your married. Must be latest and not more than a year.

ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS:

If you’re going just for a purpose of tourism you, Below is the additional documents list you have to prepare.

1. Provide daily Itinerary from day one.

2.Income tax return form 2316 if employed and form 1701 for self employed.

3. Bank Certificate & Bank Statement

There is no such required amount in the bank but to play it safe at least have maybe not below 100,000 to prove them that you can afford the whole duration of your holiday.

You might also provide your asset in the philippines like Car registration and Land Title, This is not actually required but if you have one why not include it as well to be safe.

STEP 2. LOOK FOR ACCREDITED TRAVEL AGENCY.

Japan Embassy only accept visa application from the agency ,You cant apply directly to the embassy.You must lodge your visa to their accredited travel agencies.They have agencies in Manila and Cebu. The visa application is free but you have fee service fee to the agencies. The rate range from 1200 to 2500 it depends. STEP 3. WAIT FOR YOUR VISA APPLICATION RESULT.

After submission all the required documents to the agencies, just wait for your visa approval processing time approximately 3-5 days could take longer if they needed more information or depending on your circumstances.After the processing you have a choice they could mailed it back to your address or you may pick it up at the agency’s office.
