I got a good deal for vietnam so i grab the opportunity on visiting this small country in Asia yet powerful enough to fight USA during Vietnam war.
It was winter and somebody told me that hanoi can be really cold.So get ready for winter clothes.I got to Hanoi around 2 am in the morning. when i got out in the the airport some taxi driver trying to grab me and my bag. Anyway i got a deal for about 2 million dong not sure is that in pesos i guess 1 peso is 500 dong. So do the math. So i told them okay, bring me to my hotel.Then when i got in into the cab, another one went in. I ask the driver who he was he said its a friend. Anyway since i was so tired. so I just said okay. after few minutes the other guy told me its not 2 million is 5 million dong, I was shocked, I said we made a deal for 2 million. what do you mean 5 million. he said just give us 5 million otherwise you will not arrived to your hotel. That time i started shaking.I was so scared, So I told them I don’t have 5 million dong but i have 3 million dong is that okay?Please just bring me to my hotel. finally we agreed for 3 million dong.But they brought me to another hotel and somebody trying to open my door telling me that my hotel was there i said No that is not my hotel.I ask them please bring me to my hotel.and they told me they cant, I just to get out in there and walk few blocks, I was looking outside still few people so I give them the 3 million dong and grab my bag, went out and walk away lucky enough they were right, my hotel is just in the next block. but they wont bring me there cos i might report what they did to me. anyway that was was really scary bring me trauma. The next morning had my breakfast, and I ask the hotel if they can give me a tour guide im scared to get out and walk alone, but they said its very safe, Its only by late at night some try to scare you but they dont actually harm you. well I wasn’t convince. so i hired a tour guide it wasn’t that much so its good enough. So we went for a lunch in the local restaurant and he said i must try their local dish. It was rice noodles, soup and some herbs.So I did it, after few hours, It was a disaster. I keep going back into the toilet, ( Diarrhea strike)I thought it wasn’t serious but when i got back in my hotel, My struggles just started. I was vomiting as well. Then I ask help from the hotel personnel to give me something to calm my stomach.Then one of the staff told me, I shouldn’t eat anywhere else cos they dont have proper sanitation, Well its too late. So I spent 4 days inside my hotel room, It was really bad. I though I couldn’t make it home anymore.
After that i booked a train from hanoi to saigon/Ho chi minh city cos somebody told me its far better than hanoi, I booked the one with a cabin, The travel will take 3 days so at least i can sleep,But when im finally inside my cabin this family got in as well with 5 kids,the whole family was there. It was another disaster hahaha kids are fighting and the mother was shouting at them and they throwing foods everywhere. arghhhh.. Cant wait to get to Saigon, I was so tired cos i cant sleep, I havent showered for three days. OMG. But finally arrived in Saigon, Surprised! Surprised its quite sophisticated. and its beautiful and warm. so there you go finally my nightmare is over. I enjoyed saigon very much i meet some friends as well.So my three weeks in Vietnam is full of twist and turns and some are scary and some are fun. But it makes my holiday more memorable. I definitely will go back there someday.<script type="text/javascript">
