How to Obtain Tourist Australian Visa from Philippines.



Thank you so much for visiting my blog, This time I will share you my experience on applying Tourist visa for Australia Subclass 600.I lodge my visa on March 20 2015 and I got the result on April 17 2015 granted with Multiple Entry.. Yeheyy

Now Im on preparation for a month sightseeing around Australia and hopefully New Zealand as well, This going to be a lot of fun. Now Ill share you my whole experience and how i got my visa.


By the way I am not an expert what im gonna share you is base on my own experience.So I would advice to do more research on Australian website itself. Australian Embassy for more info regarding rules, Updated forms and other important information you may need.


Note: There is different type of visa you may need, But what Im going to share you now is the Tourist Visa ( Subclass 600 Tourist Stream)





Tourist stream is for people who want to visit Australia temporarily for a holiday, to visit relatives or friends or for other short-term non-work purposes, including study for less than three months.



2. Prepare the required documents here is the check list of what i prepared. The one with Yes is what I have.






Checklist for Australian Tourist Visa Application



1. Filled out Application Form 1419 (Application for a Visitor visa – Tourist stream). Download a copy here.


2. Manager’s Check payable to the Australian Embassy ($130 equivalent in local currency) Your bank know how much is the rate. Funny thing is i thought i can pay cash on the Application Centre, But No they dont accept cash, So i have to look for nearest bank to get manager's check.


3. Personal Documents:


Certified copy of the main page (called the bio-page) of your passport. Original passport is not required to be submitted in the application, But it might be requested on some cases, But they havent on mine.

Certified copy of Birth Certificate ( NSO)



4. Financial Documents


Bank Certificate & official receipt( Yes)


Bank book history ( Yes.)


Copy of last 3 months payslip( I dont have since I own a business)


Latest Income Tax Return (BIR Form 2316 for Individual) ( BIR Form 1701 for business)


Copy of credit card statements (preferably last 3 months) ( Yes)


5. Other supporting documents


Certificate of Employment issued by your employer


Support for approved vacation leave from your employer (can be email or in a letter format)


Car registration (if you have any) ( Yes)


Other supporting documents to show that you have an incentive and authority to return to your home country


6. Trip documents


Flight information (if you already had it booked) ( Yes) Note: You dont need to book a ticket yet,You can ask a reservation from any Agency, If you booked a ticket you are taking risk. I havent book mine yet, I just made a reservation.


Hotel/accommodation information (if booked) thesame thing with airline, You can ask reservation from agency. you dont need to booked yet.


Travel insurance (if any) Yes


If you have a sponsor in Australia (either Australian citizen or permanent resident), their invitation letter.


Supporting documents of you sponsor such as: Copy of his or her passport, driver’s license, home loan statements, certificate of employment, phone, gas and private health tax invoice)


A travel itinerary during your visit (ideally showing when, where and what you will be visiting)


Any bookings or travel inquiries you have made in relation to your trip.


Evidence showing your relationship with your sponsor (such as photos for example, and giving a brief caption to it).

3. Lodge your application


Once you have all of your supporting documents ready, lodge your application by contacting the Australian Embassy’s Call Center and have your visa application papers scheduled for pick up. They can be reached at the following numbers, depending on your service provider, and subject to a rate of P32 per minute plus VAT. Additional charges apply to calls made outside Metro Manila, or from pre-paid phone cards and payphones.

They will give you a reference number for your application, specific instructions on how to close the envelope containing your application and supporting documents and confirm your preferred pick up date. They will also deliver your visa once it’s released.


Or you may visit the VFS application centre at Makati city and you can lodge your visa personally this is what i did, You can just go as walk in.But please be early they only accept certain numbers of applicants for a day.

After the lodging your application you can just wait for the processing, The Maximum is one Month, I got the result for 2 weeks, Only. They just sent the grant noticed on my email. Thats it. See you Australia.
